In order to generate or strengthen a certain material property, it may be necessary to modify a material with an appropriate filler or additive. The possibilities here are almost unlimited.
Fillers include:
- Glass fibre (GF)
- Carbon fibre (CF)
- Talcum (TK)
- Chalk
Possible additives are:
- Flame retardants
- UV stabilisors
- Electrically conductive carbon black
These are just a few examples.
